A= axillary artery, B= brachial artery, J= anterior interrosseous artery, M= median (antibrachial, deep) artery, R= three roots of the radial artery, re= superior root of the radial artery from the axillary artery, rm= middle root of the radial artery from the median artery, and ri= inferior root of the radial artery from the anterior interosseous artery, U= ulnar artery, a= carpal volar (palmer) artery ,13= superficial artery, y= dorsal radial branch of thumb, b= volar (palmer) radial branch of thumb. a,p,y, and ~ form the lower root and its continuations.

a= brachial artery, b= rudimentary radial artery, c= median (antibrachial, deep) artery, d= common anterior interosseous artery, e= ulnar artery, f= anterior interosseous artery, a= radial recurrent artery ,8= ulnar recurrent artery, ~y= variant median artery, 6= variant superior branch of anterior interosseous artery, s= variant inferior branch of anterior interosseous artery. y, 6, and ~ replace the missing part of the rudimentary radial artery.
