A. The right coronary artery and its branches according to Banchi's classification. (A) aorta; (PA) pulmonary artery; (1) anterior branch to the right atruim; (2) anterior branches to the right ventricle--the first gives off the right conus branch (21): (3) branch to the acute margin: (4) posterior branch to the right ventricle: (5) posterior interventricular branch; (6) posterior branch to the right atrium: (7) posterior branches to the left ventricle.

B. The left coronary artery and its branches according to Banchi's classification. (A) aorta; (PA) pulmonary artery (a) anterior interventricular branch; (b) circumflex branch; (1) left conus branch; (2) left branches; (3) anterior branch to the left atrium; (4) anterior branch to the left ventricle; (5) branch to the obtuse margin; (6) posterior branch ot the left ventricle; (7) posterior branch to the left atrium.

Single coronary artery. (Cases published by Krumbhaar and Ehrich). (A) the left coronary artery supplies the whole heart: no branch with the pattern of the right coronary artery is visible. (B) the right coronary artery immediately after its origin from the aorta gives off a large ramification which has the pattern and distribution of the left coronary artery. In this case there is fusion of the two coronary arteries in a single trunk arising from the right sinus arteriosus.
