Four varieties of origin of the radial artery from the axillary artery.

Left:

  1. Independent radial artery arising from axillary artery
  2. Radial artery arising from the axillary artery with a contribution, the usual site of origin, from the brachial
  3. A slender artery arising from the axillary artery continuing as the radial artery - the major source of the radial is from the typical origin from the brachial artery
  4. A slender artery becomes a superficial brachial artery.
