This section passes through the dome of the urinary bladder (1), cervix of the uterus (22), rectum (19), and first coccygeal vertebra (18). The ovary (2) is seen on the right side. On the right side, the section passes through the head of the femur (9) and the upper end of the acetabulum (12) and fossa (8).

The obturator internus muscle (11) lies on the internal surface of the pelvis and, seen here, on the ilium.
