Arteries of the deep dorsal surface in the right forearm and hand

a) Humerus (os brachii).
b) Lateral brachial condyle.
c) Olecranon of the ulna (with the tendon of m. triceps).
d) Ulna.
e) Radial capitulum (surrounded by the annular ligament).
f) Radius.
g) Radial styloid process.
h) Carpus.
i) Metacarpus.
k) Interosseous ligament.
l) m. Brachialis.
m) mm. Dorsal interosseous (s. externi interosseous).

  1. profunda brachii artery (joins the posterior radial collateral artery).
  2. interosseous recurrent artery.
  3. perforating interosseous artery (s. externa s. dorsalis).
  4. internal interosseous artery, perforating rami.
  5. inferior perforating interosseous artery (terminal branch of the internal interosseous artery.
  6. ulnar artery, dorsal ramus.
  7. radial artery.
  8. dorsal carpal rete (s. dorsal carpal arch).
  9. dorsal radial artery of the thumb.
  10. dorsal ulnar artery of the 5th digit (digiti quinti).
  11. dorsal metacarpal interosseous artery.
  12. dorsal digital arteries (to each finger a radial and an ulnar artery.
  13. dorsal ulnar artery of the thumb.
  14. dorsal radial artery of the index finger.
